Palinoia is a post-hardcore/metalcore band from eastern PA and NJ, formed by lead vocalist Via Weiss, bassist Adam Tomcho, drummer Thomson Estabrook, and guitarist Kenan Salazar.Palinoia performs their brand of post-hardcore heavily influenced by 2000s alternative metal, contemporary post-hardcore, and modern metalcore. About us
Palinoia is a post-hardcore and metalcore band from PA and NJ, first formed by lead vocalist Via Weiss, bassist Adam Tomcho, drummer Thomson Estabrook, and later, guitarist Kenan Salazar as college students in Boston, MA. Formed in 2022, the band initially began as a creative outlet for Via, but things would not be so easy for the 4-piece.Following a series of tragedies during the band’s time in college, and in Via’s personal life, the local scene became a hotbed of toxicity, forcing Via to return home to PA for her own sake. Despite the band becoming splintered across the Northeast, Palinoia stood firm. And while Via recovered, the band would trade demos and lay the administrative groundwork for the band.Things began to change in mid to late 2024. Kenan and Thomson had both graduated and moved back home. Adam, on the other hand, had decided that 6.5 years of undergrad was enough and did the same. That summer the band had all met up again, the first time they had all been in a room together in over two years. Still, Palinoia wasn’t exactly off to the races yet. A myriad of logistical hurdles would continue to present itself. Placed amid a flow of personal troubles ranging from comedic to tragic…another 1.5 years went by.Despite all this, the music has always seemed to come easy. Any time Palinoia sat down to write, they had a fleshed-out demo in a matter of hours. The result of the band’s resilience is hooky, heavy music influenced by 2000s alternative metal, modern metalcore, and contemporary post-hardcore. Inspired by Paramore, Lamb of God, Hail the Sun, and Between the Buried and Me, Palinoia seeks to create art inspiring strength amidst a tidal wave of hopelessness.Now stronger than ever, the rock quartet released their self-titled debut EP on February 20, 2026, which features the emotional lead single Harridan.
